Abstract

Communications to the Editor J. Am. Chem. SOC., Vol. 112, No. 4, 1990 1639 values have been estimated or measured for the 1, 2 hydride shifts of dialkyl~ arbenes,~ ben~ ylhalocarbenes,"~ methylchlorocarbene, 6;'and other alkylchlorocarbenes. 6, 8 Reported values of E, ranged from 1-2 kcal/mol in the dialkylcarbenes' to 6-7 kcal/mol for ben~ ylbromocarbene.~
