Abstract

The synthesis of new bis (trimethoxysilyl) and bis (dimethoxymethylsilyl) arene compounds containing rigid organic groups such as stilbenyl, diphenylacetylene or diphenylbut-1, 3- diyne is reported. The Heck type reaction constituted a convenient route to these compounds, since this coupling reaction appeared compatible with the presence of Si (OR) 3 groups.
