Abstract
H Isobutyraldehyde, 2-methylbutyraldehyde and cyclohexanecarboxaldehyde were employed as the aldehydic components. Cyanoethylation of isob~ tyraldehyde~*~* 4 has been disclosed in the patent literature. The reaction of acrylonitrile with cyclohexanecarboxaldehyde was not exothermic in contrast to the other aldehydes used.
