Abstract

This letter describes a highly enantioselective epoxidation of tetrasubstituted benzylidenecyclobutanes using glucose-derived ketone as catalyst and oxone as oxidant. The Et2AlCl promoted rearrangement of the resulting epoxides provides 2-alkyl-2-aryl
