Abstract

Aiming at the creation of functionalized antisense DNA oligomers possessing site-selective DNA cleaving activity, viologen and a related compound, diazapyrenium dication (DAP 2+), were selected and introduced into oligodeoxyribonucleotides as a functionalized molecule.
