Abstract

Abstract: Synthesis of some novel 1-(3, 4, 5-trimethoxy) benzoyl-3-arylthiourea derivatives (1a-o) was accomplished in 2 steps. The synthetic route involves the reaction of 1-(3, 4, 5- trimethoxy) benzoyl chloride with potassium thiocyanate in 1: 1 molar ratio in acetone to afford the corresponding isothiocyante followed by treatment with suitably substituted anilines.
