Abstract

Some substituted vinyl tertiary phosphines have been synthesized by the reaction of the substituted vinyl Grignard reagents with (C&,) 2PCl and C6H $ C12. The compounds include (C6H5), PC (CH3)= CH2,(2)-and (E)-(C&5) 2PCH= CHCH,,(C&&PCH= C (CHJ2,(2)-and (E)- (C6HS) 2PC (CH3)= CHCH3, and the compound mixture@', E)-,(Z, Z)-, and (EB)-(c, H,) P (cH= CHcH,),. 31P and'H NMR data are reported.
