Abstract

Initially, the experiment focused on the allylation of benzil (2b), which has a higher reactivity than a simple ketone due to its electron-withdrawing group. To generate HInCl 2 , the InCl 3 -Bu 3 SnH system was used. [8] After the reaction at room temperature for 14 hours, α-adduct 4ab was obtained (Table [1] , entry 1).
