Abstract

Summary Three types of azo-triphenylmethane dyes have been studied containing, respectively, one, two and three azo groups in the para position to the central carbon atom. It has been found that the introduction of one azo group deepens the color, of two azo groups lightens the color, and of three makes it still lighter.
