Abstract

BIIL 284 BS is a new LTB4 receptor antagonist developed as a novel anti-inflammatory principle for several chronic inflammatory conditions. It is a prodrug, which is metabolised to the active metabolite BIIL 260. BIIL 260 has a high affinity to the LTB4-receptor with a Ki value of 1.7 nM on human neutrophilic granulocytes.
