Abstract
A set qf 20 quaternary ammonium salts (R, N+ X-, R= ti-butyl to n-heptyl), half of them new compounds, which possess especially low melting points was prepared and characterized. The following anions are represented by salts with mp< loo': I-, Br-, SCN-, C104-, NOa-, and picrate.
