Abstract

Reaction of 1, 3-Diphenylisobenzofuran (111) with Thionylaniline (IV). A. In the Presence of Boron Trifluoride.-Boron trifluoride etherate (3.0 nil.) was added to a solution of furan I11 (1.00 g., 4.1 nimoles) and thionylanilhe7 (0.62 g., 4.4 nimoles) in benzene (50 nil.).
