Abstract

Abstract Six hydroxybenzoic acid glucosides and three hydroxybenzoylglucoses were synthesized as reference substances and their content in plant extracts was determined by means of capillary GC and HPLC. The results suggest a wide distribution for the glucosides, whereas the glucose esters occur less frequently.
