Abstract

Aryl-substituted and fused heterocyclic sulfonium salts prepared from the corresponding sulfoxides and derivatives of aromatic hydrocarbons in the presence of dehydrating agents are efficient initiators of cationic polymerization and find a number of other commercially important applications [1, 2].
