Abstract

Abstract Polyfunctionalised aldehydes and dihydropyrans are prepared from easily available functionalised 1-alkynes through a two-step silylformylation/aryl migration sequence. The silylformylation process is performed under mild experimental conditions and affords the corresponding β-silylalkenals in high yields.
