Abstract
Pyrimidin-2(1H)-ones and their derivatives show a wide range of biological, pharmaceutical and therapeutic activities [1], [2], [3], [4] and [5]. In 1893, Biginelli reported one-step synthesis of 3,4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-one in alcohol using strong mineral acid [6].
