Abstract

Typical Procedure for trifluoroethylation: Under an N 2 atmosphere, 1a (1.05g, 5 mmol) was added to a mixture of Na 2 S 2 O 4 (1.74g, 10 mmol), NaHCO 3 (0.84g, 10 mmol) and 5a (0.5g, 6 mmol) in DMSO(10mL). The solution was stirred for 6 h at 55°C. The mixture was cooled and H 2 O(10 mL) was added, then the organic phase was extracted with ether, and dried over anhydrous MgSO 4 .
