Abstract
Abstract An expedient method for the synthesis of α-nitro-δ-oxocarboxylic and α-nitroglutaric acid esters, including ones with isoprenoid substituents, by the solvent-free reaction of the corresponding alkyl α-nitrocarboxylates with activated olefins, assisted by heterogeneous catalytic system KHCO 3—1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ([bmim][BF 4]), was elaborated.
