Abstract
I I1 Ar= C6&-or substd. C&-R= C&O-, CHa-R'= C6H6-, CHI-, CzHbOzC-compounds of type I in cold acetic acid-sodium acetate solution to give halides of type 11, a cleavage of a carbon- carbon bond having occurred during the reaction.
