Abstract

(14) The 5-nitrouracils 1IIa-c:" were hydrogenated in aqueous solution over Pd on charcoal. After addition of 6 M sulfuric acid to make the solutions about 1 M, the catalyst was filtered off, and an excess of sodium nitrite was added.
