Abstract

2-(-Nitrosomethylamino-oxy) ethyl ketones (), obtained from solvolysis with sodium nitrite of- methyl-4, 5-dihyroisoxazolium methylsulphates (), were converted into α, β-unsaturated ketones () by treatment with base or into β-hydroxy ketones () by treatment with carboxylic acids.
