Abstract
In order to examine further the hypothesis that acetylenic or allenic ketones are intermediates in the reaction between secondary nitrocyclopropyl ketones and bases, or sodiomalonic esters, whereby 1, 3-diketones (or their derivatives) or a-pyrone esters are produced, respectively, the bicyclic secondary nitrocyclopropyl ketone I, named in the title, has been prepared and subjected to the action of these reagents.
