Abstract

The reaction of 4-oxoquinazoline (14) with phosphorus oxychloride afforded 4- chloroquinazoline, which on treatment with freshly prepared dimethyl aspartate (3) in refluxing xylene afforded the desired quinazolyl succinate 15 in fair yields. The structural
