Abstract

By hydrolysis of their p-acetamidobenzenesulphonyl derivatives, sulphanilamides have been synthesised from 3-amino-, 4-aminc~, 4-amino-bmethyl-and 5-amino-3-methyl-pzoles. p-PhthaZimidobenzenesulphonyZ chlovide has been prepared in 95 yo yield and quantitatively converted into p-phthaIimidobenzenesulp~~ n~ Z~, but hydrolysis of the latter to the aminosulphonanilide occurs less readily than with the corresponding acetyl ...
