Abstract

The observation of inter-and/or intramolecular migrations of organotin and organosilicon groups during the Grignard reagent formation reaction is explained by the occurrence of reactive carbanion intermediates. While radicals are important intermediates, too, they are shown not to be responsible for these arrangements.
