Abstract
Porphyrins unsymmetrically substituted with 3, 5-di-t-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl (DtB4HP) and 4- nitrophenyl (4-NP) groups, have been synthesised and characterised. Their aerial oxidation in basified dichloromethane solutions has been studied, using uv-visible spectroscopy, and compared with their half-wave potentials (Eo) obtained from cyclic voltammetry.
