Abstract
Piptamine has been identified with ormosanine. The spectral and chemical properties of panamine and ormosinine, coupled with a study of molecular models, lead to the assignment of structures XVII and XXII, respectively, to these alkaloids. Ormojanine probably has structure XXX.
