Abstract

35.7. Inhibition of porcine renin by selected compounds (Table 11) was tested by the procedure mentioned above except that partially purified porcine renin and porcine angiotensinogen were used. The inhibition curves for the compounds do not provide any insight to the nature of the inhibitory kinetics. Therefore, the competitive/noncompetitive nature of the inhibitors cannot be predicted on the basis of the present data.
