Abstract
It was observed by Ponomareff'that the ethoxy groups in triethyl cyanurate could be displaced by strong aqueous ammonia at 170-180 to give a mixture of melaitline and ainmeline. Trialkyl cyanurates and alkyl ethers or esters of ammeline and animelide derivatives are readily available from cyanuric chloride2 aiitl would serve as interiiiediates for the preprdtiori of sul~, titutetl mel-
