Abstract

The high radiation protecting activity of sulfur-containing compounds and the low tox- icity of sulfur-containing natural metabolites were the reasons for the search for new radi- ationprotectors among the mercapto and alkylthio derivatives of 8-azaadenine. All the derivatives of 2-mercapto-8-azaadenines (I-III) were obtained by the cyclization of the corresponding 4,5,6-triaminopyrimidines by the method described in [i]. ...
