Abstract
For gas chromatographic analyses of multicomponent mixtures of substances such as the phenolic part of liquid carbonization products, pur£ standards are prerequisite; the number of these standards required is rather high, owing to the complexity of the mixture compositions1• An ever-present constituent of the high-boiling fractions of the phenolic part of the liquid carbonization pr. oducts are indanols.
