Abstract

Cortisol 21-acetate (200 mg.) was dissolved by heating in glacial acetic acid (3 cc.) and lead tetraacetate (300 rng.) was added. The mixture was heated in an oil-bath at 100'for 1 hour and then poured on ice, neutralized with NaHC03 and extracted with CH2ClI. The extract was washed with 0.1 N XaOH, H?
