Abstract

Naphthalic Anhydride from Tetrahydro-7-methylfluor- rmthene-10-carboxyIic Acid (IV) .-A solution of 0.2 g. of the acid (IV) in 30 cc. of hot acetic acid and a solution of 2 g. of potassium dichromate in 20 cc. of water plus 0.5 cc. of concentrated sulfurico acid were mixed and heated twenty-four hours at 100 .
