Abstract

During the SAR studies that led to the discovery of SCH 503034, cyclopropyl and cyclobutyl alanine were identified as the best P1 surrogates. 5 In an effort to further explore the P1 moiety, we were interested in introducing substituents on the cyclobutyl ring with the aim of blocking potential metabolic sites and thus improving the pharmacokinetic profile.
