Abstract
Organolithium compounds are among the most important reagents in organic and organometallic synthesis.[1] Because of their high reactivity and sensitivity, functional-group chemistry at the stage of the active organolithium nucleophiles is virtually nonexistent.[2] All the desired structural and functional-group variations, therefore, need to be made in synthetic sequences either before or after the organolithium stage.[3] This is also true for ...
