Abstract
In a ongoing program towards the synthesis of quinoxalines, we investigated the reaction of nitroethene 1 with aniline using ethanol as solvent and microwave (MW) irradiation (Scheme 1). In our first trial, we obtained 43% yield of the desired product after 30 min at 110 o C and 70 W.
