Abstract

Our studies have now been extended to acetylenic hydrocarbons, which were found to cyclotrimerize and to cyclocodimerize with conjugated dienes by the action of Fe (COT) 2. 2- Butyne and diphenylacetylene (tolane) were cbyclotrimerized to hexamethylbenzene and to hexaphenylbenzene, respectively.
