Abstract

New pyrimidine derivatives (pyr) have been synthesized using palladium-catalyzed Suzuki coupling reaction. These compounds can undergo cyclometalation with iridium trichloride to form bis-cyclometalated iridium complexes,(pyr) 2Ir (acac)(acac= acetylacetonate; pyr= cyclometalated pyr).
