Abstract: Bis-amide dicarboxylic acids derived from the condensation of malonic acid, 1, l- dimethylmalonic acid, 1, l-cyclopropane dicarboxylic acid, or maleic acid with L- phenylalanine,(L-Phe), are shown to supramolecularly self-assemble in aqueous solution.
