Abstract

A novel organic ligand, 6-[(benzylamino) carbonyl]-2-pyridine carboxylic acid (HBAP), and the corresponding lanthanide complexes, tris (6-[(benzylamino) carbonyl]-2-pyridine carboxylato) lanthanide (III)(Ln-BAP, Ln= Eu, Tb, Gd), have been designed and synthesized.
