Abstract

Homo-and heteroleptic bis-tridentate Ru (II) and Os (II) complexes derived from terpyridyl- imidazole type ligand show moderately strong luminescence at room temperature with lifetimes in the range of 10− 55 ns, and they are capable of multichannel sensing of selective anions in solution.
