Abstract
A series of bis (arylidene) cycloalkanone compounds based on cyclobutanone, cyclopentanone, cyclohexanone and cycloheptanone, C4–C7, respectively, with a D-π-A-π- D structure containing the same donor and acceptor but different alicyclic rings was prepared.
