Abstract

2412 JOSEPR 11. NIEDERL AND CHARLES H. RILEY Vol. 56 in 183 cc. of methanol was added 15 g. of concd. sulfuric acid and the solution was refluxed for two hours. Upon dilution with 200 cc. of water the ester separated; yield, 82%(43.6 g.). It was rectystallized from water, forming lbng roddlike crystals; mp 225-226". Anal. Calcd. for C~ HIOO~ NAS: As, 22.37. Found: As, 22.43, 22.49.
