Abstract

Abstract A series of water-soluble 1-amino-naphthalenes and 2-amino-fluorenes are prepared. These serve as model fluorophores for measuring the thermodynamics and kinetics of fluorescence quenching with phenylboronic acids and aliphatic amines.
