Abstract

ABSTRACT The acylation reactions of p-methylphenol with crotonic and 2-octenoic acids was carried out with the employment of conventional heating and irradiation by microwaves. The use of microwaves led to a significant reduction in the time of reaction from several hours to 2 min and 30–60% yield
