Abstract

Abstract A series of azo compounds were prepared and their acid-base equilibria in aqueous-alcoholic solutions were studied in dependence on the pH. The oxidation- reduction properties of the compounds and of their reduction products were examined polarographically and by preparative electroreduction. The effect of substituents at the azo group on the examined properties of the compounds is discussed.
