Abstract

Horseradish peroxidase (HRP) inhibition and glutathione peroxidase (GPx) activities of ebselen and some related derivatives are described. These studies show that ebselen and ebselen ditelluride (EbTe2) with significant antioxidant activity, inhibit the HRP-catalyzed oxidation reactions.
