Abstract

The two independent molecules of N-phenyl-2-(triphenylstannylseleno) benzamide, C31H25NOSeSn, differ significantly in the conformations of the N-phenylbenzamide groups. For 2-methylseleno-N-phenylbenzamide, C14H13NOSe, the N-phenylbenzamide group is oriented such that the O atom is in close contact with the Se atom [Se⋯ O 2.829 (2) Å] and the N atom is pointed away.
