Abstract

Abstract The compounds 2-(4-substituted phenyl)-3-(4-substituted phenyl)-5- methylthiazolidin-4-ones were synthesized by condensing 4-substituted anilines with 4- substituted benzaldehydes by using ethanol as solvent. The synthesized compounds were heated with 2-mercaptopropionic acid in excess of benzene. The chemical nature of synthesized compounds have been confirmed by means of IR, NMR and mass data. The ...
