Abstract
Two anhydrous and a trihydrate form of tilorone dihydrochloride were obtained, and their crystal structures were established from X-ray powder diffraction. Different crystal packing and hydrogen-bonding patterns of two anhydrates elucidate the observed difference in their stability to hydration at ambient conditions.
